25-27 Old Fort Road - Shoreham By Sea- West Sussex

This project was completed in May 2014 and consisted of the demolition of two chalet style bungalows and the introduction of four new build eco houses. 

 

The Skin of the building was built using Durisol blocks, a recycled wood block with outstanding thermal efficiency. The success and high end finish of the project was such that the houses appear on www.durisoluk.com and appear in their brochure. The houses also appeared in Builder magazine in an article about timber cladding.

 

The Houses incorporate Sunpower solar thermal panels and a Dakin Air source heat pump which powers the Polypipe underfloor heating system. This setup results in enviable utility bills and a low carbon footprint.
